Yiwu Cosmetics Industry started in the middle of last century. Products are sold to every corner of China and exported to over 180 countries and regions including the US, France, the UK, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. The perfumes manufactured by Yiwu enterprises have been sold to France, the site of its origin in the world. Cosmetics Industry in Yiwu boasts of 800 equipments (including 150 imported equipments) and 10 research and development centers. An average of 150 million yuan each year is invested for technological upgrading during the past three years. 60 enterprises have passed ISO9001 and ISO14000 Quality System Certification. Cosmetics Industry in Yiwu boasts of 600 patents and more than 1,300 trademarks, among which 150 trademarks were newly applied for in 2007. Yiwu Cosmetics Industry has over 300 local trademarks including Meixue, Daiweisi, Qianfei, Siya, and Yinfei, 1 famous trademark in Zhejiang, and 3 famous trademarks in Jinhua. 　　“The 99th China Beauty & Cosmetics Expo” and “The 100th China Beauty & Cosmetics Expo” were held respectively in 2007 and 2008.
