Maersk, the world’s largest shipping company entered Yiwu on June 26. A person familiar with the condition said the two parties had had a cooperation intention early in 2005. In March this year, Maersk inspected the Yiwu International Logistics Center and deemed the condition there for entry mature, and later signed an agreement on June 6 to operate its transit business in Yiwu.
