Representative office (RO) is established by foreign companies to engage in business liaison. Production promotion, market research, exchange of technology and other permitted activities in china. RO is not allowed to directly engage in operational activities. The AIC usually specifies in the business scope .as shown in the business license of ROS. That a ROS should not engage in direct operational activities therefore ROS are not forms of foreign investment in china
The representative office can't work on the following activities:
(1).directly engage in any business for profit;
(2).Sign contracts or deals on behalf of the parent company;
(3).Represent any firm other than its parent company;
(4).Collect money or invoice organizations or individuals within China for services or products; (5).Buy property or import production equipment.
Material needed
(1).Business license of company.
(2).The bank reference letter (2 original) .
(3).The appointment letter for the Chief Representative (original).
(4).The resumes, photocopies of the passports and passport size photos of the chief representative and other representatives.
(5).Contract of rent or purchase office location (copy).
(6).Certificate of residence for office location issued by leaser (original).
(7).Application Form for Personnel of RO .
(8).Certificate of Registration of Real Estate of Shanghai Municipality.
Tax of RO in Yiwu
According relevant regulation of China, tax of RO can be formulated as follows:
Income tax of RO=Expenses/ (1-15%)*10%.
Income tax for enterprise= Expenses/ (1-15%)*10% *15%.
Revenue tax= Expenses/ (1-15%)*5%.
